As part of the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial 2025, organised by CAFx – Copenhagen Architecture Forum, The Cluster for Spatial Inclusion at the Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation invites you to the event Small Pleasures. This event is the third in the series And So We Create Different Rhythms, which brings together artists, spatial practitioners and scholars to reflect on the role of norms and polyrhythms in architecture.
Small Pleasures explores the sensory and spatial joys we encounter through everyday life and diverse rhythms of being. This is explored through the sharing of research, a film viewing and an audio-visual performance. The event invites the audience to slow down, tune into their bodies, and reflect on how space can support presence, pleasure, and deeper modes of engagement.

About Jeppe Forchhammer:
Jeppe Forchhammer is a Danish communicator and disability advocate living with cerebral palsy. He uses alternative communication to share his experiences and to take part in talks, projects, and public debates. He is also on the board of Isaac Denmark, an organization focused on augmentative and alternative communication. Jeppe became more widely known through the DR1 documentary Wingman, which offers a look into his life. His work highlights inclusion and new ways of thinking about disability.

About Cluster for Spatial Inclusion:
Cluster for Spatial Inclusion is a research platform at the Royal Danish Academy. We study the spatial implication of contemporary challenges aspiring for equality in relation to the built environment. We challenge normative design practices and aim to develop methods and processes that open up interdependence over independence and recognise shared vulnerabilities rather than assuming self-sufficiency. Location: Halmtorvet 27, 1700 Copenhagen.
Halmtorvet 27 is located approximately 550–700 metres from Copenhagen Central Station. There is limited street parking nearby, including paid spaces along Halmtorvet. At Flæsketorvet next to the venue location there are accessible parking spots. We recommend using public transport if possible. Some of the closest options are the Metro lines M3 and M4, Regional and S-trains, and Bus 23 that goes to/from the Central Station to Gasværksvej (Istedgade) approximately 200 metres from the venue location.
Access: The main entrance is located on Halmtorvet with a ramp for level-free access. The entrance is indicated with a sign on the door.
Accessible Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are not available at the venue location. The closest are approximately 200 metres away at Scandic Hotel, Skelbækgade 3A, 1717 Copenhagen. An agreement has been made and the accessible restrooms are available to use at any time.
Acoustics: The space generally offers good acoustics. If you have specific needs, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate as best as possible.
