Meet the Slow Down Exhibitors

The CAFx Biennial x Form/design Center exhibition Slow Down explores silence, slowness, and resilience in architecture.
See the Exhibitors
Observation, silence, restraint, humility, and hesitancy are often cast as weaknesses in an action-oriented society—seen as shortcomings rather than strengths.

In the group exhibition Slow Down, we offer an architectural defense of these unappreciated dispositions, tracing the new rhythms, frictions, and imaginaries of the great dizzying deceleration that lies ahead.

Tuning into planetary systems and reconsidering urban rituals, we reimagine infrastructural alternatives: an architecture of signal-jammers forms silent sanctuaries, a mobile pavilion performs rainwater harvesting as public event, and a deep dive into Køge Bugt, uncovering the slow violence of marine sand extraction.

Selected from several hundred international applicants, the exhibitors are:

  • Rosy Wing Nga Tam / Zhuo Chen, "Community Maintenance Club"
  • CENTRALA
