Frisørsalon og kulturnat i Gammel Strand

Kom med til Kulturnat i Gammel Strand, hvor aftenens program tager afsæt i udstillingen 'Når vi døde vågner'. Udstillingen tegner et kunsthistorisk portræt af Gammel Strand og institutionens relevans gennem tiden. Med eksperimenterende workshops og opsigtsvækkende værker arbejder vi til Kulturnatten – i udstillingens ånd – med at vække historien til live.

Kunsthallens festsal transformeres om til en stor frisørsalon – et værk af kunstneren Johan Bech – hvor publikum kan blive klippet, bleget og stylet, mens der føres samtaler om kunstens betydning i og for samfundet.

Rundt omkring i huset vil der være performances, og gæster kan deltage i omvisninger, der dykker ned i både Gammel Strands historie og den aktuelle udstilling.

Join us for Culture Night at Gammel Strand, where the evening’s program takes its starting point in the exhibition ‘Når vi døde vågner’. The exhibition offers an art-historical portrait of Gammel Strand and the institution’s relevance over time. Through experimental workshops and striking artworks, we will—true to the spirit of the exhibition—work to bring history to life during Culture Night.

The art hall’s grand hall will be transformed into a large hair salon – an artwork by artist Johan Bech – where visitors can get haircuts, bleaching, and styling, all while engaging in conversations about the role and significance of art in and for society.

Throughout the building, there will be performances, and guests can join guided tours that delve into both the history of Gammel Strand and the current exhibition.
