Slow Spatial Practice: Public Conversation with Momoyo Kaijima (Atelier Bow Wow), Heidi S. Kajita & Masashi Kajita (Bureaus) and Kohei Saito

This public conversation on Slow Spatial Practice explores slowness as an artistic dimension of architecture that gives space to often conflicted and marginalised voices. Slow Down (book published 2020/2024) is the central idea of Japanese philosopher Kohei Saito’s proposal for a democratic reform of labour and production through the deceleration of economic activities. Drawing on Saito’s thought, Momoyo Kaijima of Atelier Bow-Wow, and Heidi S. Kajita & Masashi Kajita of Bureaus bring their expertise as architects, researchers, and educators to this urgent topic by focusing on spatial and material dimensions. The event includes keynote presentations and a conversation guided by the Slow Spatial Practice reading group.

DAN:

Ticket 60 kr. and free for students, unemployed, CAFx community and those on low incom.
