In Praise of Slow City Light

Lecture

As night falls, the city is transformed by artificial illumination. We can choose to allow art and culture to serve as guiding landmarks within the urban fabric, or let the glare of commercial LED billboards dominate. Cities such as Copenhagen and Aarhus remain comparatively dark, offering a rare opportunity to embrace subtle, slow lighting - where the poetry of light, the nuanced tones of dusk, and the depths of darkness can be fully experienced.
