Fluffy Encounters: Wool's Resurgence - Meet the Curators and Exhibitors

Guided Tour
Credit:

Step into a fluffy encounter where wool takes center stage.

Join our guided visit of Fluffy Encounters and discover the many possibilities of wool—an age-old fibre being reimagined through co-creation, craftsmanship, and contemporary design. Meet the curators and collaborators, and explore how wool contributes to the growing movement of slow, circular, and local materials.

At the heart of the exhibition is a collective wool installation created during the Fluffy Encounters Wool Workshop, presented alongside material samples and products from selected Nordic designers. Together, they showcase a holistic and forward-looking approach to this versatile material.

Wool is soft, strong and renewable. Yet in the Nordics, more than half of all wool is discarded. Through slow processing and participatory making, the exhibition explores the resurgence of wool.

Fluffy Encounters is a project by Fanfaluca Collective, in partnership with the Nordic Wool Initiative, presented as part of the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial 2025.

Collaborators and supporters include: Axfoundation, Better Shelter, Bioregion Institute, Dalarna Science Park, Insutex, Lendager, and Swedish Textile.Funded by Nordisk Kulturfond and Nordic Innovation.
