The Whole Sea - Myths, Materials, and Visions

Event

– Poetiske fortællinger ved professor og forfatter Søren Frank (A Poetic History of the Oceans)

ENG:

We live in a time where the human relationship with the sea is rapidly changing. The depths of the ocean hold both fascinating life and myths, but also conceal challenges that threaten life below the surface. We need new narratives and dialogue about our connection to the sea.

During the biennial, Habitats wishes to bring knowledge, art, and architecture into play through a sensory program about the ocean:

– Poetic narratives by professor and author Søren Frank (A Poetic History of the Oceans)

– Seaweed workshop and exhibition by professor Susan Løvstad Holdt (DTU)

– Talk on blue urban spaces focusing on nature-based solutions by marine landscape architect Veronica Civa

The workshop will be held aboard the newly restored ship FB44 at Refshaleøen. There are limited spots available.
