This opening session of our salon series at Copenhagen Architecture Biennial takes HouseEurope! as a case study and brings together perspectives from activism, lobbying, and policy-making to explore how awareness becomes action in the built environment.

• Olaf Grawert – Architect, writer, and co-initiator of HouseEurope!, a European Citizens’ Initiative for the reuse of existing buildings.
• Jens Klarskov – Senior Advisor at Rud Pedersen with 35+ years of experience in business policy and political advocacy in Denmark and the EU.
• Signe Marie Wenneberg – Journalist, author, and award-winning sustainability advocate, reaching over 100,000 readers through Den lille grønne avis.

Moderator

• Enlai Hooi (AU) – Head of Innovation at SHL and Denmark’s national delegate for HouseEurope!, working on adaptive reuse, circular construction, and sustainable transformation in the built environment.
