In Nature There Is No Waste: How to Go From Unwanted To Aspirational by Slowing Down Design

Join 3XN GXN for a dialogue on how waste can become an opportunity for design and experience.

Slowing down allows us to spend time imagining new solutions to difficult problems in architecture and society, testing unconventional methods, and coming together across creative trajectories. 3XN GXN will host a discussion with three distinct voices from the Copenhagen design and creative scene on how what we leave behind can become a starting point for something new – a source of design, innovation, beauty, and transformation. The panellists will present and discuss recent innovative work, such as the production of building materials through the compression of excess algae and mussel shells, while simultaneously regenerating marine ecosystems.

Når vi sætter tempoet ned, kan vi bruge tid på at forestille os nye løsninger på vanskelige problemer i arkitektur og samfund, afprøve ukonventionelle metoder og mødes på tværs af kreative baner. 3XN GXN vil være vært for en diskussion med tre forskellige stemmer fra den københavnske design- og kreative scene om, hvordan det, vi efterlader, kan blive et udgangspunkt for noget nyt – e n kilde til design, innovation, skønhed og kulturel transformation. Paneldeltagerne vil præsentere og diskutere nyligt innovativt arbejde, som f.eks. produktion af byggematerialer gennem komprimering af overskydende alger og muslingeskaller, samtidig med at marine økosystemer regenereres.
