On material extraction, processing and waste - with Rotor and Békà & Lemoine in conversation
Transmutation is a series of 9 films made in collaboration between Beka & Lemoine and Rotor, the well-known Brussels collective working on architecture, ecology and recycling. Shot at nine industrial sites within a 200km radius of Brussels, the films observe the circulation of materials in the contemporary economy, addressing issues such as the impact of industrial activity on the landscape, the processes that transform materials, and the ways in which industry produces and manages its waste. At this viewing you can experience a selection of 4 out of the 9 films in the series.
