Slow Painting

Installation

ENG:

Slow Painting is a participatory art installation unfolding over four days in the café at KBH+. A large, colorless canvas is placed indoors and serves as an open space for collective creation. Everyone is welcome to draw and paint directly on the canvas, which slowly transforms through human touch and the passage of time.

Materials are available every day between 9 AM and 5 PM, allowing visitors to drop by and take part freely. The artist will be present for conversation on the opening and closing days.

After the four days, the artwork is moved outdoors, where it remains for another four days, influenced by the elements of the weather and surroundings—sun, rain, and wind.

The installation is a sensory and architectural interpretation of the biennial’s theme “Slow Down”—an exploration of how time, community, and environment shape art, expression, and togetherness.
