Evolved as an audiovisual collaboration, ‘Spectre’ is an artistic depiction of megalopolis tension on an individual. A reflection on urbanization and overpopulation in hyperbolized scale. A ghost of the foreseeable future questioning a significance of one’s role in the giant mechanism. Shot mostly in Kyiv, Ukraine.

This short documentary follows a day in the life of Vic/Nike and Brynn - two non-binary, queer, trans folk who live near the town of Springfield, in rural Nova Scotia, Canada. In 2021, they bought twelve acres of field and forest to build a farm and collective housing for members of the community historically excluded from rural spaces, including but not limited to BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ and disabled folks. They imagine it to become a physical manifestation of the concept of commoning, where they wish “to see the redistribution of wealth and resources into the collective stewardship of community”. The film is a glimpse into the making of the first collective house, assisted by community members, as well as a tour of the forested land that they plan to build on and share in the future.

Hong Kong was claimed to be one of the most energetic cities in the globe with the vase varieties of building environments to meet its dynamic demands of cultural, ethical and demographic diversity. The ever changing city is currently experiencing gradual gentrification. More and more historical buildings were revamped into commercial purposes, while some were converted to cultural grounds. The film discusses the juxtaposition of the development and conservation through a journey of the everyday working class that eventually discovers the disappearance of heritage around the cities. The hybrid management model seeks the balance and solutions of conservation and maintenance. This model making conservation projects works well as 'purikura'- a great selfie machine, but inevitably deprived the core values of local culture. As stakeholders contributing the society, we shall all consider what was “left behind” the revitalization.

Conversation with the city

Conversation with the city' explores the process of welcoming in Copenhagen, through the stories of two strangers at different times. The Norrebro neighborhood has become the place where both of them belong: its diversities shaped the area in a welcoming architecture. Actually, it is a process, that starts from Norreport Station and continues until Superkilen Park. It has to be a process of care for humans, for their perceptions, and for places as well: in that sense, it is similar to the first conversations we make in order to feel welcomed in a new city.
