particle dance er en filmisk rejse ind i filosofien og praksissen hos Kengo Kuma, en af Japans mest indflydelsesrige arkitekter. Optaget over 15 år og på tværs af 75 projekter verden over, tilbyder dokumentaren et intimt og meditativt portræt af Kumas tilgang til arkitektur – forankret i naturlige materialer, stedets ånd og en stræben efter harmoni mellem mennesker og natur.

Kengo Kuma er arkitekten bag H. C. Andersens Hus i Odense i samarbejde med det danske atelier for arkitektur Cornelius Vöge og landskabsarkitekterne MASU Planning.

particle dance is a cinematic journey into the philosophy and practice of Kengo Kuma, one of Japan’s most influential architects. Filmed over 15 years and across 75 projects worldwide, the documentary offers an intimate and meditative portrait of Kuma’s approach to architecture – rooted in natural materials, the spirit of place, and a pursuit of harmony between people and nature.

Kengo Kuma is the architect behind the H. C. Andersen House in Odense, in collaboration with the Danish architecture studio Cornelius Vöge and the landscape architects MASU Planning.
