Cab Money
The film is about the poverty that young people go through and the situation leads many to use cabs to earn some pocket money. Unfortunately, there is a very competitive taxi business in the city and it makes the service and the prices decrease as well. The second biggest city Sumgayit is almost 30 KM away from Baku and there are cabs around the center you could take to Sumgayit only for 1 manat (around 0.55 EUR). The situation is the same with “1 manat” cabs to some other districts as well. There are many famous cab companies such as Uber and Bolt well functioning in Baku and their service prices are very low as well. The situation is advantageous to encourage people to take cabs instead of using their own car, however it leads to the exploitation of the cab drivers.

Lynetteholm: an artificial island
Lynetteholm is an artificial island off the coast of copenhagen planned to be finished in 50 years. The project is yet another example of anthropocentric architectural expansion. I expanded it upon the lens of ecofeminism, by putting into question this human urge to colonize the landscape and species living in it. I used essay film as the medium; sometimes footage from Copenhagen zoo, symbolizing the colonial history and human supremacy, blends in with actual footage from the construction site. As the voice-over, I asked a friend of mine, to answer a question: "what would you put on an island if you had an island"?

Material Agency
The film aims at showcasing the diversity of bench design, the use of the bench as well as dismantling the more hostile effects of certain bench designs. It is an investigation of a banal object that we all have an experience with and which we all interact with in our everyday life. The film highlights how the built environment is embedded with a series of material objects and non-human entities that interfere with questions of inclusivity and exclusivity. Furthermore, these non-human objects that seek to perform certain actions will contain some degree of ambivalence, in the sense they will be inclusive fore some actions (and people), while for others the contrary.
