Pillars

Exhibition

Christina Marie Jespersen

At Hospitalshaven, artist collective Lokale inhabits Kiosk—the former hospital gift shop—during its transformation into a residential area. “Pillars” by Camilla Nørregård and Christina Marie Jespersen marks the first phase in rebuilding Kiosk with a site-specific, holistic approach. Over the Biennial, three pillars will be built from excavated materials—each from one of Lokale’s three sites: Hospitalshaven, Prags Boulevard, and Sydhavnen. Though built in equal time, their sizes reflect differences in access, labor, and geography. The evolving Kiosk invites slow, attentive engagement—an architecture shaped by presence and the unfolding of time and place.
