De anerkendte filmskabere BEKA & LEMOINE kommer ligger vejen forbi København men deres seneste film: EN VERDENSPREMIERE.

Big Ears Listen With Feet (2022) Ila Bêka & Louise Lemoine

Filmparret blev kendt i bredere kredse, da de lavede Koolhaas Houselife, der var startskuddet til en lang række af film fra parrets hånd om, hvordan arkitektur lever gennem sin brug. Sidenhen er der kommet en lang række af film til, herunder Tokyo Ride og Moriyama-San, som festivalen viste i hhv. 2020 og 2018.

Filmen “Big Ears listen with Feet” tager den bevægende historie om arkitekten BOOSERM PREMTHADA som sin ledetråd. Det er blevet til en fri, filmisk vandring gennem de landskaber af tilfældige møder, begivenheder og steder, der har formet en af Thailands mest interessante arkitekters identitet og sensibilitet.

Premthada er døv fra fødslen, og i filmen beretter han om, hvordan hans handicap har ført til udviklingen af en sansearkitektur med afsæt i lydens vibrationer og rummets stemmer.

BIG EARS LISTEN WITH FEET er en film, der afsøger og afslører arkitektens aktive engagement: Hans vandringer gennem de mørke gader i hans barndoms slumkvarter, hans rejser til fjerntliggende landdistrikter og hans fintfølende observationer af gamle damers hengivenhed over for de buddhistiske munke i deres landsbyer.

Kom med, når vi viser Bêka & Lemoine’s nyeste filmeksperiment; en sammensmeltning mellem en roadmovie og en filmdagbog om en af vor samtids mest signifikante arkitekter.
