CAFx + SPACE10: Creating Change in the City (EN)

Hvor starter byen – og hvor ender den? Hvilke slags byer vil vi gerne bo i? Og hvad mener vi er vigtigt for et bedre byliv?

Med udgangspunkt i udstillingen “The Ideal City 2040” vil SPACE10 dele historier og visioner fra det nyudgivne bogværk “The Ideal City”; en refleksion over fremtidens byer gennem inspirerende løsningsforslag.

Oplægget vil blive efterfulgt af kortfilmen “Where is the City” af den canadiske instruktør Kurtis Chen, der gennem en serie af interviews med økonomer, videnskabsmænd, byplanlæggere og arkitekter undersøger den antropocæne storbys omfang og grænser. Det er en tankevækkende film om krydsfeltet mellem økologi, teknologi og samfundsforhold, der ivrigt arbejder på tværs af forskelligartede metoder og vidensformer.

Hvad hvis vi kunne takle klimakrisen og skabe en bedre hverdag for hele klodens befolkning – blot ved at gentænke vores byer?

SPACE10s nye interaktive VR-udstilling ’The Ideal City 2040’ forestiller sig fremtidsbyer, som eksisterer i pagt med naturen til fremme for både økosystem og livskvalitet. I forbindelse med udstillingen afholder vi tre film- og debataftener, der sætter fokus på tre forskellige aspekter af morgendagens bæredygtige by: fællesskaber, flygtningestrømme og forandring.
