Cities for free?

Film og debat om fremtiden for Københavns byudvikling med fokus på Lynetteholmen.

Vi starter eftermiddagen med at vise filmen 'The Strait' (24 min.), som er resultatet af et samarbejde mellem kunstnerne Asta Lynge og Matilda Tjäder, der blev indledt under den første COVID-19 nedlukning i 2020. Filmen er en Nordic Noir pilot om en portal placeret i sundet mellem Malmö og København. Projektet udforsker løftet om Øresund som en forenet region - drømmen der initierede emblemet på et nyt fællesskab: Øresundsbroen. Et ideal som idag er under pres med den foreslåede byudviklingsplan for Lynetteholmen.

Herefter tager vi et smugkig på den kommende dokumentarfilm 'Cities for Free' (Archie Cantwell, 20 min.), der udfolder historien om Københavns offentligt ejede udviklingsselskab, By og Havn, der står for udviklingen af Ørestad og byens havneområder. Københavns kontroversielle byudviklingsmodel er blevet kritiseret for sin rolle i at producere uoverkommelige og socialt eksklusive områder, der gentrificerer og gældsætter byen. Vi hører, hvad eksperter fra begge fløje har at sige om den sag.

Vi slutter arrangementet af med en diskussion af implikationerne ved megaprojektet, Lynetteholmen, der hævder at levere 'Cities for Free'. Vi åbner debatten med et oplæg af oceanograf Morten Holtegaard om, hvordan Lynetteholmen potentielt vil påvirke det regionale miljø. Dette vil blive efterfulgt af yderligere spørgsmål om Lynetteholmen som byudviklingsprojekt - stillet af moderator, Deane Simpson, professor i arkitektur og byplanlægning ved Det Kongelige Akademi – Arkitektur, Design, Konservering.
