Dogma talk vol. III with TUSCA7

The collective TUSCA7 of artists, architects, and researchers affiliated with TU-Berlin will challenge the way materials and waste are used in 'traditional' architecture practice, advocating for local compost systems.

Taking their site specific compost installation “Compost Canteen”, realised for CAFx in Jernbanebyen, with Banegaarden and the local Steiner School as a point of departure, the collective TUSCA7 will introduce a radical rethinking of the way we are usually treating not only resources and waste, but also gardening and food production/consumption. The TU-Berlin affiliated group advocates for a more holistic design thinking and a more circular economy.

The talk is part III of a “Next Gen” concept, developed by CAFx and VELUX, where architects of younger offices each select a dogma within mainstream architecture practice and thinking that they want to challenge. This selection then motivates them to tell about why and how they are challenging the so-called dogma and why it is necessary to renew the architecture profession. Over the year, we will invite ten younger Danish and international architectural studios challenging the status quo in architecture practice and pushing the boundaries towards a more regenerative methodology.
