Eraserhead

Inspireret af instruktørens skræmmende og spændende oplevelser fra Philadelphia er David Lynchs første spillefilm en uforglemmelig vision om en industriby i tilbagegang.

Det er fortællingen om en ængstelig mand, der navigerer i byens ødemarker fyldt med murbrokker, rør og forladte fabrikker. Det er også fortællingen om en hjemlig arkitektur, hvor bekvemmelighederne og begrænsningerne af et enkelt byrum får én til at mindes Kafkas mareridt og Keatons komedie. Lynch selv hævdede, at Eraserhead "er den rigtige Philadelphia fortælling".

Om David Lynch Filmene:

Vi har inviteret kurator og Lynch-eksperten, Dr. Richard Martin til at udvælge og præsentere tre film under festivalen. I 2009 organiserede han symposiet ‘Mapping the Lost Highway: New Perspectives on David Lynch’ på Tate Modern og udgav i 2014 bogen ‘The Architecture of David Lynch’ (Bloomsbury). Glæd jer derfor til at få et nyt perspektiv på David Lynch og nyd at se hans film på 35mm, venligst udlånt af de danske filmarkiver.
