Starting Points

I Taiwan er socialt boligbyggeri noget nyt. I ‘Starting Points’ følger vi et par, der lige er flyttet ind i landets andet sociale boligbyggeri, der blev opført i 2019 i Taichung ud fra idealet om billige, gode boliger til alle. Men hvordan skaber man et liv “fra scratch” i et område, der er historieløst? Lever det op til forventningerne? Hvordan påvirker det hovedpersonernes liv?

Lovely Villa

I filmen ‘Lovely Villa - Architecture as Autobiography’ er instruktøren rejst tilbage til det lejlighedskompleks, han voksede op i fra 1970erne, LIC colony i Mumbai i Indien af arkitekten Charles Correa. Instruktørens forældre har levet der i over 40 år. Boligkomplekset repræsenterer idéen om det ideelle samfund i et moderne Indien med fokus på at inkludere mange forskellige kulturer og klasser under ét tag. Udover at være en filmisk udforskning af boligkompleksets arkitektur og planlægning, er ‘Lovely Villa’ en film om forholdet mellem arkitektur, hverdagsliv, minder og identitet.
