Han tegnede huset til hans kone og ham selv, men Can Lis blev noget langt større end et hjem for den danske stjernearkitekt Jørn Utzon. Det er en bygningtegnet med både lineal, funktionsdiagram, sol og hav. Med andre ord: en opsigtsvækkende forening mellemmodernismes vilje til orden og den interesse forlandskabstræk, der kom til at præge efterkrigstidens arkitektur diskussioner.

Filmen præsenteres af Utzon-ekspert Michael AsgaardAndersen, arkitekt og forfatter til flere bøger om Utzonsvirke.
