Lost Highway

Det er en filmkliché, at de onde altid bor i kølige modernistiske huse. ‘Lost Highway’ bringer denne idé til et helt nyt niveau.

Her præsenteres vi for et køligt modernistisk hus, der huser dårlige vibes og skumle handlinger. Det ejes af David Lynch selv. Lynchs betonbunker i Hollywood Hills er et hjem designet omkring medieteknologi, med rum til skærme og projektorer, telefoner og bånd, radioer og videokameraer. I ‘Lost Highway’ er spørgsmålet om hjemligt design tæt forbundet med psykologisk velvære. På mere end én måde er dette en film om at komme ind i nogens hus og om, hvad interiøret derinde kan afsløre.

Om David Lynch Filmene:

Vi har inviteret kurator og Lynch-eksperten, Dr. Richard Martin til at udvælge og præsentere tre film under festivalen. I 2009 organiserede han symposiet ‘Mapping the Lost Highway: New Perspectives on David Lynch’ på Tate Modern og udgav i 2014 bogen ‘The Architecture of David Lynch’ (Bloomsbury). Glæd jer derfor til at få et nyt perspektiv på David Lynch og nyd at se hans film på 35mm, venligst udlånt af de danske filmarkiver.
