Når naboen inviterer dig ind i byrummet

Træd ind i Margrethekirkens imponerende rum, tag plads på kirkebænken og hør Københavns Stadsarkitekt moderere en diskussion om naboskaber og værtskaber i et nyt socialt og grønt byrum.

Et kvarters centrale plads forvandles. I Folehavekvarteret skal et stort åbent areal midt i kvarteret omdannes til et grønt og socialt byrum. Her skal det lokale og inkluderende fællesskab stå helt centralt. Missionen understøttes af en lokal planteskole drevet som socialøkonomisk virksomhed – og af flydende overgange til nabo institutionerne: plejehjem, kirke, bibliotek og skole. Institutionerne bliver fremtidige værter, der skal invitere lokale beboere og besøgende til at indtage det fælles byrum på mange forskellige måder.

Københavns Stadsarkitekt stiller skarpt på, hvordan lokale institutioner, såsom kirker, skoler, biblioteker og plejehjem, kan fungere som værter i offentlige byrum. Vi stiller spørgsmålene: Kan værtskaber understøtte byudvikling, inkluderende fællesskaber og den lokale sammenhængskraft? Kan man som byplanlægger skabe gode rammer for værtskaber? Og kan naboer indtage et byrum og tage ansvar for fællesskaber?
