Panelstory or Birth of a Community

Sovjetunionens utopiske boligprojekter og menneskets paradoksale adfærd.

Vera Chytilová (1929-2014) var en af de mest yderliggående filmskabere blandt 1960’ernes tjekkiske nybølge. Hendes idiosynkratiske og til tider absurdistiske filmsprog betød, at hun igennem store dele af sin karriere måtte kæmpe med censur og Sovjetunionens strømlinede folkeopdragelse. ’Panelstory or Birth of a Comunity’ er en satirisk fortælling om den mislykkede opførelse af et lejlighedskompleks i Prag. Chytilová bevæger sig igennem alle etagerne og introducerer et kalejdoskopisk galleri af karakterer, der lever under prekære vilkår. Filmen er et pragteksempel på Chytilovás evne til at balancere manieret skuespil og in-your-face-kamerateknikker med refleksion og humor.

Filmen vises i anledningen af den nye arkitektskoles åbning på Exners Plads 7, hvor vi har allieret os med Arkitektskolen Aarhus om at kuratere en serie af filmvisninger under skolens åbent hus arrangement lørdag den 9. oktober 2021 i tidsrummet 11.00-18.00. Visningerne finder sted i Didakteket, og alle arrangementerne er gratis, bare mød op."
