Hvad er en socialt bæredygtig by?

Udstillingen

Byen udvikles for det meste ud fra en forestilling om, at vi alle oplever byen på samme måde, og at vi kan designe steder til at være inklusive for alle. I borgerinddragelse og byplanlægning bygger beslutninger om fremtidens by ofte på sådanne universelle antagelser og inddragelsesforløb hvor minoriteter sjældent har mulighed for at blive hørt. Med undersøgelsen Urban Belonging udfordres dette af et hold byplanlæggere og forskere, der stiller spørgsmål ved, hvordan mennesker med forskellige marginaliserede identiteter oplever byen fra deres perspektiv. Sammen har forskere og deltagere skabt en udstilling af fotos, kort og data-illustrationer, der fortæller deltagernes historier om København som inkluderende og ekskluderende rum.

Undersøgelsen er første danske forskningsprojekt der skaber et intersektionelt blik på byen, bygger bro mellem forskning og praksis, og med visuelle metoder viser, hvordan mennesker fra forskellige minoritetsgrupper oplever København.

Projekt partnere:
Gehl Architects, Techho-Anthropology Lab og Service Design Lab fra AAU, Center for Digital Velfærd på ITU samt Visual Methodologies Collective fra Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
 
Community partnere:
LGBT+ Danmark, Dansk Handicap Forbund, Hugs & Food, Danske Døves Landsforbund, Mino Danmark og Sind Danmark.

Udstillingen er kurateret af Drude Emilie Holm Ehn, service designer og phd fra Gehl Architects og Aalborg Universitet og Sofie Thorsen, sociolog og phd fra Gehl Architects og Aalborg Universitet.

Samtalesaloner med Niels Bjørn

Udstillingen akkompagneres af en samtalesalon skabt af urbanisten Niels Bjørn, hvor du kan møde nogle af projektets deltagere, og høre fra forskerne bag hvorfor vi har brug for at gentænke marginaliserede stemmers inddragelse i byplanlægning, for at skabe en mere socialt bæredygtig by.
