Velfærdskunst- og arkitektur m. bustur til Albertslund (DA)

Kom med på bustur til velfærdsstatens Utopia Albertslund Syd med kunstner Jakob Kolding og arkitekt Jens Thomas Arnfred!

Tag bussen ud af byen og ned ad memory lane til et af det 20. århundredes højborge Albertslund Syd. En banebrydende modernistisk new town, der blev designet fra scratch i 1960erne, og som siden har huset albertslundere fra vugge til grav.

Nogle kvalificerede guider fører os ud i forstaden: Billedkunstneren Jakob Kolding, som er opvokset i Albertslund, vil fortælle om den indflydelse, stedet har haft på hans kunstneriske arbejde - og ham personligt. Arkitekt og tidligere partner i tegnestuen Vandkunsten, Jens Thomas Arnfred, vil fortælle om velfærdsbyen og arkitekturen i Albertslund Syd, som hans far, arkitekten Tyge Arnfred, var med til at tegne. Jens Thomas vil også tale 'tæt-lav byggeriet', som Vandkunsten arbejdede videre med. Undervejs inviterer en beboer indenfor i et af de karakteristiske gårdhavehuse.

Hvad kendetegner historien og hverdagen i en ny by? Hvilke billeder har vi af forstaden? Hvad er dens kvaliteter og udfordringer? Hvordan kan man renovere en ikonisk velfærdsarkitektur? Hvordan har kunsten skullet understøtte idealet om det gode liv i velfærdsbyen?

Medvirkende: Jens Thomas Arnfred, arkitekt og Jakob Kolding, billedkunstner.

Arrangementet er et samarbejde med Art Hub Copenhagen som en del af vores fælles kunst og arkitektur arrangementsrække.
