DA:

ENG:

In a time where acceleration has become part of everyday life and change is happening at an ever-increasing pace, we need to pause and ask: What role does speed play in architecture, in our living environments, and in society when everything is becoming increasingly transient?

Entitled Architecture Beyond Acceleration, Architecture Day 2025 sheds light on how architecture can act as a bearer of time and offer resistance to the rhythms of the present. How are our working methods and buildings affected by increased speed – and can slower architecture enable other, more sustainable solutions?

Through lectures, discussions, and presentations, questions of permanence, memory, loss, and changeability will be addressed – as well as slow practices, techniques for spatial durability, and the role of architecture in transition.

In connection with Architecture Day, SLOW DOWN will be inaugurated – a group exhibition organized in collaboration with CAFx, Copenhagen Architecture Forum. Here, 24 imaginative responses explore our living environments not only as isolated places, but as parts of larger ecological, geological, and social systems.

Welcome!
