A Sensory Urban Space In a Dense Neighbourhood / Sanseligt byrum i en tæt by

Guided Tour

Slowing down could mean smaller and deeper worlds," lyder det i CAFx’ program.

I Red Block sættes farten ned.

Den guidede tur er tilgængelig for kørestolsbrugere.

ENG:

“Slowing down could mean smaller and deeper worlds," as stated in the CAFx programme. The architecture studio entasis invites you into their take on such a “small and deep world.” In Nordhavn’s vibrant new urban district, entasis has created a lush pocket of dense city life with the Red Block project. New structures have been built around the old, transforming and densifying an existing block of red-brick buildings. Restaurants, businesses, and housing ensure activity and a sense of safety around the clock. Between the buildings, an intense and verdant urban garden emerges.

Red Block demonstrates how we can build densely and make optimal use of urban space; how we can build with materials that age beautifully; how care in architectural design lends buildings longevity; and how we can create quality in the in-between spaces. In Red Block, the pace is slowed.

The guided tour is accessible to wheelchair users.
