Activists’ Agora: Demolition

Workshop
Credit:
ACAN Sweden

Demolition means unnecessary waste of materials, emissions and possibilities, in a time of scarcity and climate emergency. As the nordic chapters of the Architects Climate Action Network (ACAN), we aim to raise awareness of both the extent and effects of demolition.

We invite you to an open meeting between practitioners within the built environment as well as the general public, to build both local resistance and international insight.

The discussion will start from ACANs work with interactive demolition atlases, mapping threatened, already demolished and saved buildings, and peoples stories about them. What is being demolished, and why? Are there differences between our countries and what can we learn from each other? What can we do to create change?

The event will contain a public talk with the ACANs and guests, a creative workshop, and of course coffee. Welcome!

DA:

Velkommen!
