Langelinieskuret

A historical landmark building in transformation

Langelinieskuret is a visionary construction erected as part of the Free Port in 1894. The design is democratic architecture at its finest because it combines industrial demands with recreational needs.
Today, the free port is closed and the entire area is developing into an attractive part of the Danish Capital, near the sea yet close to the bustling medieval city centre.

In an effort to reawaken the long historical appeal of Langelinie, Langelinieskuret is undergoing an exciting transformation.
On the promenade, a new installation of gardens, long tables and pétanque lanes invites locals and tourists to rediscover their city, to come together and to take pleasure in the scenic cityscape.

In the old warehouse new shops, bars and restaurants are blooming: 2-star Michelin restaurant KOAN, award winning burgers from Hungry Dane, vibrant art at Albert Contemporary, and the fashionable wine bar, Skurets Vinbar, designed by David Thulstrup, known for his award winning designs for NOMA.
