On sacred space, human relationship to sacred architecture and quiet monumentality

7 Chapels is a calm and atmospheric film about seven small chapels in southern Germany. Each chapel is designed by a well-known architect, and the film explores how architecture, light, and landscape come together. With slow camera movements and a simple piano score, the film invites viewers to take in the mood and materials of each space.

The screening will be introduced by the film’s directors and architect Nicolai Overgaard from Rørbæk og Møller Arkitekter.

7 Chapels er en stille og stemningsfuld film om syv små kapeller i det sydlige Tyskland. Hvert kapel er tegnet af en anerkendt arkitekt, og filmen viser, hvordan arkitektur, lys og landskab spiller sammen. Med rolige kamerabevægelser og enkel klavermusik får man tid til at fordybe sig i rummenes stemning og materialer.

Filmen har ingen tale og varer 87 minutter.

Visningen bliver indledt af filmens instruktører og arkitekt Nicolai Overgaard fra Rørbæk og Møller Arkitekter.
