Show Me The Budget: The Slow City

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Not even in ten years. But Copenhagen’s new neighborhoods often are.

Blowing up planetary boundaries and local economies, we’re throwing up new cityscapes at record speed. As a result, our cities become flat. They often feel more like a backdrop than an organism—something that can adapt to the organisms living in it.

We dedicate an evening to examples and discussions on what we might gain by building cities slowly — and how we might actually do it. Slow down this Friday, in thoughtful company.

Speakers: Katrine Lotz (Architect, researcher, head of Institute of Archtecture, Urbanism and Landscape) & Jane Ostermann-Petersen (Artist, Designer) & Lauge Floris/Atelier for Byers Rum (architects, urbanists, utopists) Moderator: Anne-Laura Hedegaard

DA:

Sæt tempoet ned denne fredag i eftertænksomt selskab.
