As the climate crisis rages, four Nordic communities come together in solidarity to find collective solutions. CAFx invites you to a film screening and a conversation with the film’s director, Phie Ambo, and landscape architect Anna Aslaug Lund.

As wildfires rage, seas rise, storms intensify, and the landscape transforms, the forces of nature speak - both as warning and guidance. From near and far, neighbors begin to listen to nature’s signs - and to the need for a new language.
Fire, Water, Earth, Air follows four Nordic communities that come together in solidarity to find collective solutions to the challenges that lie ahead. The film blends everyday life with science, showing how old ties to nature and to one another can guide us through a changing world.
The film is in English with Danish subtitles. The conversation after the film will be in English
After the film, CAFx invites you to a conversation with the film’s director, Phie Ambo, and landscape architect Anna Aslaug Lund, an expert in the relationships between rising sea levels, landscapes, architecture, and the nature-based climate adaptation strategies we can employ.
Phie Ambo: Is a documentary film director who, for more than a decade, has worked critically, provocatively, and imaginatively to create new narratives that can lead to collective action against the climate crisis.
With films such as Så meget godt i vente, Genopdagelsen, 70/30, and Organiseret vildskab, she has established herself as Denmark’s “leading chronicler of the climate crisis,” as she was described this year in Dagbladet Information.
Anna Aslaug Lund: Is an architect and landscape architect MAA, PhD at Schønherr, and the author of The City as a Garden.
Anna Aslaug is an important voice in a timely and relevant exploration of the connections between rising sea levels, landscape, and architecture.
