værtshuset: who are the hosts of the city?

Hosting is the act of defining a shared space, while hospitality is the ethics springing from the joy of opening space to others. Through relationships, frictions, and social practices, værtshuset discusses who has access to and participates in shaping the city.

Lauge Floris

Lauge Floris is an independent practitioner within the field of architecture. His work seeks to shorten the distance between contemporary challenges and visions of the future.Through the art and architecture studio Drømmekontoret & Floris, he explores how architecture can generate new images, relationships, and possibilities beyond pure functionality. His practice moves between urban planning, transformation, design, public discourse, and communication, grounded in what already exists - combined with what is not yet known. Lauge Floris collaborates widely with municipalities, organisations, artists, design studios, and independent groups. In addition, he teaches at the Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conversation.

Christine Bjerke

Christine Bjerke is an architectural researcher, designer and educator working at the intersections of architectural history, design pedagogy and human diversity. Christine is a PhD student at the Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conversation, where she is part of Centre for Spatial Inclusion at Institute of Architecture and Space. Her research focuses on the relationship between the human body and architectural and design education through the lens of critical disability studies. She is also co-founder of the non-profit organisation Building Diversity, a volunteer-run community, working to foster inclusivity, diversity, and equity in the built environment in Denmark and beyond.

værtshuset: hvem er byens værter?

Værtskab er retten til at definere et rum, mens gæstfrihed er handlingen at åbne det for andre. Gennem relationer, friktioner og sociale praksisser diskuterer værtshuset, hvem der har adgang til og er med til at forme byen.

Lauge Floris

Lauge Floris er en fri aktør indenfor de arkitektoniske felter. Hans praksis arbejder med at gøre afstanden kortere mellem samtidens udfordringer og forestillinger om fremtiden. Gennem kunst- og arkitekturstudio Drømmekontoret & Floris undersøger han, hvordan arkitektur kan skabe nye billeder, relationer og muligheder ud over ren funktionalitet. Arbejdet bevæger sig mellem byplanlægning, transformation, formgivning, offentlig debat og formidling med udgangspunkt i det, vi allerede har - tilsat det, vi endnu ikke kender. Lauge Floris samarbejder bredt med kommuner, organisationer, kunstnere, tegnestuer og uafhængige grupper. Derudover underviser han på Det Kongelige Akademi – Arkitektur, Design, Konservering.

Christine Bjerke

Christine Bjerke er arkitekturforsker, designer og underviser, der arbejder i krydsfeltet mellem arkitekturhistorie, designpædagogik og menneskelig diversitet. Christine er ph.d.-studerende ved Det Kongelige Akademi – Arkitektur, Design, Konservering, hvor hun er en del af Centre for Spatial Inclusion ved Institut for Arkitektur og Rum. Hendes forskning fokuserer på forholdet mellem menneskekroppen og arkitektur- og designuddannelse med udgangspunkt i kritiske disability studies. Hun er desuden medstifter af nonprofitorganisation Building Diversity, et frivilligdrevet fællesskab, der arbejder for at fremme inklusion, diversitet og lighed i det byggede miljø i Danmark og internationalt.
