Kunst kan påvirke os i mange livsvilkår - ganske som resten af vores omgivelser. Det er efterhånden en kendt viden, at alene synet af natur kan virke livgivende på os, men den selvsamme effekt kan også gøre sig gældende for flere kunstneriske udtryk. Faktisk benyttes kunstens positive indflydelse allerede den dag i dag mange steder i det moderne sundhedsvæsen med henblik på at styrke menneskers velbefindende og bidrage aktivt til at drage omsorg i det 21. århundrede.
