Alment under pres

Som den første af tre debatter undersøger ‘Alment under pres’ de politiske forandringer af den almene boligsektor. Hvad kan vi lære fra internationale erfaringer, og hvilken rolle skal forskningen spille?

Fra almene "idealbyer" til såkaldte “ghetto-” og “forebyggelsesområder” har italesættelsen af almene boliger skiftet karakter. Danmarks Bolig- og Indenrigsminister vil skabe en “blandet by”, men dansk og international forskning om tvungen “blandede bydele” belyser, hvordan delvis privatisering i sociale boligområder forøger segregering og ulighed i bymiljøer. FN’s Menneskerettighedsråd konkluderer ligeledes, at den danske tilgang bærer præg af “hjemmelavede” kategorier, der krænker basale menneske- og frihedsrettigheder, diskriminerer og skaber social ulighed. Så hvor blev både idealbyen og den blandede by af? Det vil et panel af fagfolk debattere i vores diskussion om velfærdsbyens fremtid.
