Arkitektur og sundhed

Sygdom og sundhed har påvirket menneskers måde at indrette sig på gennem historien og ikke mindst fra det tidspunkt, hvor vi begynder at bygge og bosætte os i byer. Epidemier har formet byplanlægning, og god arkitektur har været afgørende for at fremme hygiejne, mental sundhed, arbejdsmiljø, trivsel og andre centrale elementer af sundhed.

Sammen med Københavns Universitets Sundhedsfakultet, vil vi til dette event undersøge hvordan arkitektur og sundhed hænger sammen.

Star Houses

Instruktør: Torben Kjelstrup, Nanna Rebekka

'Star Houses' (18 minutter) følger en gruppe arkitekter i processen med at udvikle prototypen på et malaria-sikkert hus i Tanzania, designet i samarbejde med det lokale fællesskab i et innovativt forsøg på at sikre sundheden for millioner af mennesker i landene syd for Sahara. Med inspiration fra asiatisk byggestil udvikler arkitekterne en helt ny type bæredygtige hjem, der både tager hensyn til faktorer som luftfugtighed og den lokale tilgængelighed af byggematerialer - men frem for alt til den menneskelige velvære. Enkle, men gode idéer, som vi ser tage form og blive til kreative løsninger på noget, der alt for længe har været et problem.

Før filmen vil Arkitekt Runa Johannessen redegøre for den historiske sammenhæng mellem arkitektur og sundhed, Herefter vil Runa Johannessen, dekan for Det Kongelige Akademi – Arkitektur, Jakob Brandtberg Knudsen og professor i global sundhed, Flemming Konradsen, diskutere hvordan vi kan tilgodese sundhed i fremtidens arkitektur.
