Artist In Focus: Rose Lowder

16mm-visning af Rose Lowders botaniske filmpoesi.

I 1994 påbegyndte den fransk-peruvianske eksperimentalfilmskaber Rose Lowder (f. 1941) sin filmserie ’Bouquet’. Filmene varer hver især blot ét minut, men vist sammen udgør de en mangefarvet buket af billeder og indtryk. Lowder er kendt for sin 16mm-kamerateknik, hvor hvert motiv kun optræder i et splitsekund, før det overtages af et andet. Når filmene afspilles, er det, som om de hastigt skiftende motiver bevæger sig ind over hinanden. En blomst, en mark, en bil, en have: En myriade af bevægelser sammensluttes i Lowders økologiske filmpoesi. CAFx præsenterer de første 20 film i Bouquet-serien samt ’Sea Salt Flower’, der skildrer (dis)harmonien ved et saltsyderi.
