I do it for the Sparrow and the Mouse

Danmarkspremiere med videointroduktion af instruktør Amit Dutta.

I en dal i den nordlige delstat Himachal Pradesh kæmper en gruppe lokale ildsjæle for at holde liv i det såkaldte ”Kuhls”, et ældgammelt vanddistributionssystem, der leder smeltevand fra Dhauladhar-bjergkæden til områdets landsbyer. Med et flydende og refleksivt formsprog følger Amit Dutta værgerne af vandsystemet i deres ihærdige kamp mod moderniserings- og markedskapitalistiske initiativer. ’I do it for the Sparrow and the Mouse’ er en poetisk undersøgelse af de måder, vi plejer udryddelsestruede landskaber og økosystemer på, og hvordan vores fælles ressourcer indeholder spirituelle kræfter, vi ikke bør tage for givet.
