På et konkret og sanseligt grundlag får man adgang til et anderledes og komplekst overblik over forandringer i bylandskaber i en periode, hvor byerne og bilerne har lagt beslag på en stadig voksende del af verdens landskaber.

MOCKUP er baseret på fotografisk materiale fra en dansk provinsby, dels egenproduceret og dels indsamlet.

Det er blevet til et komplekst, visuelt forandringsarkiv, hvor mange forskellige aspekter af de sidste 80 års ændringer i et bylandskab går i dialog med hinanden.

Udgangs- og omdrejningspunktet er Finn Larsens egne undersøgelser af byen fra andre vinkler end de gængse, og fra vandrerens perspektiv, dels i slutningen af 80'erne og dels i 2020-23.

Der indgår i øvrigt bl.a. fotografier af teknisk assistent Werner Livoni fra 40'erne til 70'erne, luftfotografier af Sylvest Jensen fra 50'erne, elementer af en udstilling og et lysbilledprogram fra

slutningen af 70'erne, som Finn Larsen var involveret i, samt bystyrets fremtidsvisioner for byen.
