Nina Beier: Drama

Gennem en udforskning af semiotiske processer afklæder den danske kunstner Nina Beier implicitte økonomiske og mellemmenneskelige magtstrukturer i sine fundne genstande og fagter.

Til Copenhagen Architecture Festival præsenterer Beier sit værk ‘Drama': en performance, der minder om den gamle praksis med “sørgekoner”, hvor skuespillere forsøger at producere tårer og få dem til at lande i deres drikkevarer. Situationen vibrerer i krydsfeltet mellem virkelighed og efterligning, når skuespillerne bruger forskellige teknikker, der ofte trækker på deres egne gennemlevede sorger for at få tårer i øjnene. Når deres indsats lykkes, mødes falske og sande følelser i en dråbe. Hos publikum opstår der en konflikt om at følge eller modstå sit umiddelbare instinkt til at gribe ind og trøste - i et sted mellem fremmedgørelse og empatisk indlevelse.


PERFORMANCEPROGRAM

Kom med til tre forskellige performances under Copenhagen Architecture Festival på Thorvaldsen's Museum:

Den 8. oktober, når kunstner Nina Beier præsenterer sin performance 'Drama' på museet, og kunstner Bob Kil præsenterer sin performance Chameleon: et ikke-rave rave i Thorvaldsens indre gård, hvor Thorvaldsen selv ligger begravet.

Den 13. oktober, når vi inviterer på arkitektonisk koncert-vandring med percussionist Ying-Hsueh Chen.
I år har festivalen flere forskellige begivenheder på Thorvaldsens Museum, Bindesbølls ikoniske byggeri, der danner ramme for Bertel Thorvaldsens skulpturer og private samlinger. De inviterede kunstneres værker forholder sig på forskellige måder til årets tema ‘Omsorgens Landskaber’.

Arrangementerne er gratis, når museumsentréen er betalt på 90 kr.
