Danmarkspremiere på Tsai Ming-liangs nye slow cinema-mesterværk

En mand (Lee Kang-sheng) bevæger sig gennem et ensomt bylandskab i søgen efter behandling for en kronisk sygdom. Et andet sted udfører Non, en ung, laotisk mand, sine daglige rutiner. Da de møder hinanden på et hotelværelse, kan de for en stund dele deres kroppe og ensomhed med hinanden. Skønt der ikke er tale om et virusudbrud som i ’The Hole’, formår Tsai Ming-liang gennem sine billedkompositioner at indlejre karaktererne som en integreret del af byrummet og give hovedpersonens sygdom en mere almen, eksistentiel kvalitet. ’Days’ er allerede blevet hyldet af den internationale presse som en af instruktørens bedste. Tsai giver tid og dedikation til hvert et billede, til hver en bevægelse, berøring og lyd.
