Care – Connectedness and Equitable Green Recovery

CAFx explores 'care' in architecture and urbanism, highlighting planetary connectedness, caring techniques, and onsite methods by Soft Agency, during the Copenhagen Festival’s 'Lanscapes of Care' event.

November 17, 2021

In this session the concept of 'care' is explored historically and positioned within the context of architecture and urbanism.‍

Marianne Krogh, curator of the Danish pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, speaks about planetary connectedness. Heidi Svenningsen Kajita, assistant professor at landscape architecture and planning at the University of Copenhagen, reads her recent essay "Caring techniques, making design documents work". You can find the whole essay in this collection. Soft Agency, an international group of female architects, artists and curators, elaborates on their onsite working methods for the care of urban spaces. Read more about Soft Agency in the dedicated collection.

This podcast was recorded during the talk-event held as part of Copenhagen Architecture Festival x 2021 'Landscapes of Care'.
