Last week our director, Josephine Michau, took part in the The EUmies Awards Days 2026 in Barcelona, a two-day programme of public events that brought together the winners and finalists of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards.
The EUmies Awards Days are conceived as an open platform to engage with architecture beyond the Prize, inviting professionals, students and the public to participate in a shared reflection on the present and future of the built environment.
Last year Josephine was asked to nominate her candidates for the awards, and the Awards Days were the culmination of that work. As part of the extensive program in Barcelona, Josephine moderated a panel on Reuse As Cultural Production with an incredible cast of members from: Assemble, Atelier Luma, BC architects & studies, and H Arquitectes.
Ideas of reuse and transformation are at the top of our agenda these years, and the talk, as well as the program in general, provided another fruitful opportunity to meet with our international network of collaborators, with great colleagues from the EUmies Awards, the nominated architectural studios, HouseEurope!, the LINA Community, as well as new acquaintances.
