A few weeks ago our director Josephine Michau spent three days in Ljubljana with our colleagues from the LINA Community.
The inaugural Blueprints festival was a welcome opportunity to delve into the learnings of the first three years of LINA’s architectural programme and of looking into our future collaborative work.
At CAFx we are committed to a ceaseless investigation of how architecture can move in a more sustainable direction. Discussing and investigating the insights from the more than 300 projects undertaken in the LINA network and the learnings of more than 100 fellows is an invaluable insight into how the specifics of building in different social, geographical and climatic contexts can help our shared mission.
As a part of the festival, Josephine took part in a panel debate on the vital ways in which working with film can help us understand architecture in new ways - and open up the field to groups of citizens who are usually left out in conversations on building and planning.
We thank all our colleagues for a wonderful and insightful trip. Among others Federica Sofia Zambeletti of koozarch, who we are happy to count as a close collaborator. And our hosts at MAO Slovenia and the Faculty of Architecture.
