Slow Spatial Practice: Reading Group

Conversation

The reading group Slow Spatial Practice explores slowness as an artistic dimension of architecture that gives space to often conflicted and marginalised voices. Hosted by Heidi S. Kajita and Masashi Kajita (Bureaus), the reading group will question the spatial and material dimensions of economic deceleration and the democratic reform of labour and production. Selected book chapters, film excerpts, and drawings include work by architect Momoyo Kaijima of Atelier Bow Wow and Japanese philosopher Kohei Saito. Participants commit to two reading sessions, including preparation (SEP 25, OCT 6), plus a public conversation with Saito and Kaijima (OCT 16). See Slow Spatial Practice: Public Conversation with Momoyo Kaijima (Atelier Bow Wow), Heidi S. Kajita & Masashi Kajita (Bureaus) and Kohei Saito.

Please send an email to heidi@bureaus.dk to apply for the reading group by August 20th, 2025. We kindly ask you to include a 50–100 word bio and 100 words describing why you are interested in reading about slow spatial practice. Participation is free.

Note: Registration is closed.

Supported by the Danish Art Foundation.

DAN:

SEP, 6. OKT) samt en offentlig samtale med Saito og Kaijima (16. OKT). Se Slow Spatial Practice: Public Conversation with Momoyo Kaijima (Atelier Bow Wow), Heidi S. Kajita & Masashi Kajita (Bureaus) and Kohei Saito.

Send venligst en mail til heidi@bureaus.dk for at ansøge om deltagelse i læsegruppen senest den 20. august 2025. Vi beder dig venligst inkludere en kort biografi på 50–100 ord samt 100 ord om, hvorfor du er interesseret i at læse om slow spatial practice. Deltagelse er gratis.
