Trying to resist the gravitational pull of the fleeting and the spectacular that define contemporary event culture, we turn toward duration, depth, and rituals—toward slowness—as we prepare for the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial 2025. "Slowing Down to Infrastructures" is part of this endeavor: a web radio format by Radio Otherwise, beginning in May and continuing until the end of the Biennial in mid-October 2025.
Broadcast live from Halmtorvet 27, the home of CAFx, the program interweaves environmental soundscapes and conversational rituals to explore the possibilities and capacities of slowness. The building becomes both studio and instrument: air flow, humming servers, ground vibrations, water movements, the murmur of machines, the life outside our walls.

Layered into this ongoing acoustic environment are conversations with invited guests, unfolding around the Biennial’s central theme of slowness. These dialogues meander, linger, loop, and shift—sometimes broadcast in full, sometimes fragmented and woven into larger compositional flows. When the Biennial opens in September, the radio will also transmit live from the public program, allowing listeners from afar to follow selected events, talks, and atmospheres in real time—extending the experience beyond the physical boundaries of the city."Slowing Down to Infrastructures" is a project that slowly builds—through repetition and variation, intensity and pause—toward the Biennial itself.
